Day 1

Arrival in Leh & Acclimatisation

Fly into Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpoche Airport (11,500ft). Transfer to your 4-star luxury hotel. Full day rest for compulsory altitude acclimatisation. Complete rest is mandatory — do not exert yourself on Day 1.

Day 2

Leh Local Sightseeing & Hall of Fame

Visit Leh Palace (15th century), Shanti Stupa (panoramic sunset views), Hall of Fame war memorial dedicated to Siachen Glacier soldiers, and the vibrant Leh market bazaar.

Day 3

Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass

Diskit Monastery to Turtuk Village

Pangong Tso Sunrise & Return to Leh

Day 7

Sham Valley Excursion & Magnetic Hill

Departure from Leh Airport

Important Information

Acclimatisation Requirement

Compulsory 24-48 hours rest in Leh (11,500 ft) before crossing any high passes is mandatory for all travelers. Ignoring this can lead to severe Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) which can be life-threatening at high altitude.

Permit Requirements

Inner Line Permits (ILP) are mandatory for visiting Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, and Turtuk. All permits are handled and arranged by our Happily Innovative Travels concierge desk at no additional cost.

Packing Essentials

Pack thermal innerwear, down jacket, fleece layers, high-SPF sunscreen (50+), UV protection sunglasses, lip balm, trekking boots, and Diamox tablets (consult your doctor before travel). BSNL/Airtel SIM works best in Ladakh.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

30+ days before departure: 15% cancellation fee. 15–29 days: 50% fee. 7–14 days: 75% fee. 0–6 days: 100% non-refundable. Full credit note issued for road closures due to natural calamities.

Frequently Asked Questions

The ideal time to visit Ladakh is from May to October when the Manali-Leh highway and Khardung La pass are open. July-August offers the most stable weather. The Pangong Lake route via Chang La is best from June to September. Winter (November to March) is accessible only from Srinagar but extremely cold.

There is no mandatory medical certificate requirement. However, we strongly recommend consulting your doctor before travel if you have heart conditions, respiratory issues, high blood pressure, or anaemia. Carry all prescription medicines in adequate quantity.

Ladakh is generally very safe for solo travelers including women. For elderly travelers (60+), we recommend a cardiac fitness check before travel. Our tour captain ensures constant monitoring of all travelers and emergency evacuation arrangements are in place at all times.
