Schengen Visa for Indian Travelers

Indian passport holders require a Schengen visa to enter France and Switzerland. Apply at the French Consulate or VFS Global centre at least 3-4 weeks before departure. Required documents: passport, photographs, hotel bookings, flight tickets, travel insurance, and bank statements.

Best Time to Visit Europe & Switzerland

April to June (spring) and September to October (autumn) are ideal — pleasant weather, blooming landscapes, and fewer crowds. July-August is peak summer with the most tourists and highest hotel rates. Mount Titlis and ski resorts are magical in December-March for winter sports.

Currency in France & Switzerland

France uses the Euro (€). Switzerland uses the Swiss Franc (CHF). Note: Switzerland is NOT in the Eurozone despite being in Europe's heart. Keep both currencies, though most tourist shops accept both. Credit cards are widely accepted everywhere.
