Important Information

Schengen Visa for Indian Travelers

Indian passport holders require a Schengen visa to enter France and Switzerland. Apply at the French Consulate or VFS Global centre at least 3-4 weeks before departure. Required documents: passport, photographs, hotel bookings, flight tickets, travel insurance, and bank statements.

Best Time to Visit Europe & Switzerland

April to June (spring) and September to October (autumn) are ideal — pleasant weather, blooming landscapes, and fewer crowds. July-August is peak summer with the most tourists and highest hotel rates. Mount Titlis and ski resorts are magical in December-March for winter sports.

Currency in France & Switzerland

France uses the Euro (€). Switzerland uses the Swiss Franc (CHF). Note: Switzerland is NOT in the Eurozone despite being in Europe's heart. Keep both currencies, though most tourist shops accept both. Credit cards are widely accepted everywhere.

Cancellation Policy

30+ days: 15% fee. 15–29 days: 50% fee. 7–14 days: 75% fee. 0–6 days: 100% non-refundable. Swiss pass is non-refundable once issued.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! First-time Schengen visa applicants are approved regularly from India. The key requirements are: strong travel history (or strong financial position), confirmed hotel bookings, return flight tickets, travel insurance with €30,000 coverage, and 3-6 months of bank statements. We assist with document preparation.

October in Paris is cool (8°C–16°C) and beautiful with autumn foliage. Switzerland in October is spectacular with snow beginning on mountain peaks. Carry warm layers, a waterproof jacket, and comfortable walking boots. It is one of the best months to visit both countries.
